Does fiat/paper money have real value or " just percived value " or if you wish... faith in bankers and governments of the world who say it is worth a dollar's value?

IMO a countries economy and ability to pay it's debts is what make a person believe the paper dollar is actually worth something...  Does the paper dollar represent a debt?...And what happen when people no longer believe in the paper dollar which is getting close to happening right now.....well they will turn to something else that they believe will protect their value.

Do you often say things without thinking??
