Re. jjeerryy..Thunder creek..

No pickerel in Thunder creek,  Might have been 1 million years or so ago.  :-)

I also was born in the early 40s..41 to be exact.  lived on Avenue Road in Timmins.  Timagami River was just down a big hill near by, a hill we use to slide on in winter...  River at bridge area was full of log booms but there was a nice little sandy beach there as well.  Grandfather worked at Hollinger Mine and in his days off he and his two Brothers did some prospecting...and that is how they found and claimed the property that is now where Lakeshore Gold West mine is now located  That was 1913...claims were pattened in 1916 and became know as the McCauley-Bridges claims...  All kinds of little companies worked that property over the years, drilled a few good holes ,made their profits and left for the next folks to take over...Picadilly Gold mines was one of the little companies, Stanwell oil also owned the properties as well at one time...

You must be a LOT older than me...last week I was a teenager.  :-)
