Will be interesting to see if in the next day or so the US dollar is devalued as was done to gold today.

It has happened many times in the past when the dollar is going to tank somewhat that the price of gold is pushed down in advance so as not to let gold price get to high and of course to show the market that the fed and central bankers have complete control of all money including gold.  IMO.
