RE: To Digger

RE: To Digger

Hey Bosse...

Thanks to you and all others for the kind words...I try my best!

I left LSG in May, 2011 but I have kept up to-date on the story.  I was very fortunate with the timing of my departure, some luck but it was not only that...I spend many, many hours on study and analysis.  I know the story very, very well.

I am a very open minded individual and would of returned to the story if I felt it was justified...again...trusting my analysis and conclusions I was fortunate not to chase the story all the way down.

I try my best to allocate my available funds to the best of my ability and attempt to minimize the risk accordingly...it is never easy!  The market is very unpredictable...but...you can succeed by making good, educated choices.  I will not chase the hype & emotion...I will not allow myself to invest in a stock before taking the time to make a full analysis of the situation...step aside for a couple of days and then review and review.  I have learned to sell when the story for whatever reason does not meet my expectations, preserve capital and move on...set my pride aside..emotions do not belong in a major investment decision.

Let's face it...it is all relative.  It all depends on our risk tolerance....$1,000.00 to one does not seem like much...but..to an individual where that amount represents a significant portion of their savings, it does mean a lot.  I respective all investors whether they have $1,000.00 to invest or $100,000.00 to invest...again...it is all relative.  Some might invest $1,000.00 and would not give a a second thought if they lost it due to their financial position...However, their attitude and research on their investment would not match that of some one who feels differently about an investment.  I invest significant amounts of money and  before I do so I am going to find out everything I can about the company and individuals that run it, along with industry and market trends and signs and conditions.

Remember...we can never hope to beat the market...or...be smarter than the market.  We must recognize certain patterns and focus on the opportunities that are always presented to us at any given time.  For example...LSG has 415,000,000 shares outstanding...if you add up the holdings of the posters on this Board it would amount to a very insignificant total..." a pinhead on a needle".

I track many sources of information, from prominent individuals to the average person on the street and everybody and everything inbetween...I just love information and soak it up like a sponge....filtering out the nonsense accordingly.  I make my own conclusions and attempt to always think "outside the box"...try not to think what the "other people" want me to think!

I have tracked many individuals over the years that are a lot smarter than me and their knowledge, experience and analysis have made a major contribution to my investing success.

In this particular case namely, Lake Shore Gold I must "see" positive developments that the market and myself recognize as change of direction events...in my opinion they are not there yet.  However, as I  mentioned...I am very much open minded and will jump on board if and when certain milestones are met.

In the end it is our hard earned money that is on the line and the final decision comes down to our own.  However, learning is an everyday experience and I am always asking questions and researching something that I feel will assist me in my investing decisions and decide if it is useful or not.

Research, analysis and knowledge has given me the confidence to invest significant amounts of money and best of all.... be able to sleep at night!  It is a very good feeling... one that did not come overnight!

Fear & Greed....leads to a destruction of wealth & health!

Regards,

Digger144

P.S.  I am on KGI like "stink on a monkey"..I will try my best to time my investment appropriately.  I will post further on that board.
