I get all the conspiracy theory postulating that goes on in discussions about debt and gold etc. etc.  However, there are also very intelligent people on the other sides of this discussion that obviously don't share the same concerns.  The way you talk, you seem to be comparing the U.S. economy to that of Haiti or some other desparate 3rd world nation.  Is it possible you are missing something?  Inflation, as it is measured (which is a whole other discussion), hasn't been around for a long time so i don't know where "hyper inflation" will come from.
