RE:Had lunch with a Mining expert today
Just to let you all know, the person I met for lunch did not endorse either companies. He literally gave me his views based on his own due dligence. As a mining engineer, he is paid to examine mines for global mining companies.
His comments to me yesterday re-inforced my disagreement with this offer. I will be voting no. It is up to each of us to make a conscious decision to vote merger or vote it down. I have watched the many stages of Lake Shore gold and I have liked what I've seen. My no vote is an expression of wanting to see how LSG plays out in its business paln. I want to be a shareholder who experiences success on its potential alone. I do not want to hold shares in a silver miner who has a mine in a country where the politics could significantly affect operation.
If there is a better offer out there (Canadian miner operating in a safe global market) I would examine such on the basis of how it benefits me as a shareholder.
