perspective

Since this time last year lsg stock price has dropped 68% under current management versus  a drop of 24% for dgc.

The relevance is: Be cautious and "do not be fooled!" Relative to other developing gold mining companies, LSG is very poorly managed and suffers from a sorry track record. It is encouraging to see hope and promise in the recent results. But, the stock remains very risky and mistrusted by the investment community because of the fear that the lsg management team, under its current ...more

There you go again Yoda!! Are you being paid well for your posts? How can you possibly complain about this last NR? They hit all the targets they said they would do with the exception of the mill progress. The mine plan is coming together and they won't need the mill capacity this fall so I personally think it is a prudent move to slow down the mill expansion if they can keep up with the ...more

Poorly considered negative posts are just as bad as some of the "rah/rah" posts we often see.  I am not negative about this stock and I still have hope for this fine resource property.  my posts are intended to encourage discussion and to share view points. Here's some perspective.  LSG is a junior mining stock, and the ENTIRE gold sector, especially the junior miners and explorers have been under huge selling pressure since April of 2011.  In fact, I know of only a handful of miners/ royalties that are even close to highs or above the 200 day moving average.  FNV, RGLD, GOLD, AUY, among a few others.  The rest of the sector ...more

And the bull market in gold is not over, not by a long shot.  Unitl the huge run up in the grains a few weeks ago, gold was one of the few commodities that was actually up on the year, outperforming all others.   The last time the price of gold stocks went to truly stupid levels was in 1980.  We haven't had that yet.  Bull markets in things don't end until it gets ...more

kaiserwongze ...the crazy 1980's level for gold was due in part trying to find it's right price level. Sure it eased of for a long time. Inflation was crazy back then...high interest rates to the savers and high payments to the borrowers. High interest rates finally killed high inflation. I can't remember such action around gold until recent years. I guess it played catch up ...more
