Bashers

C'mon guys, really?

LSG has $85MM planned for exploration.  If things were bad, they would put the drills on hold and wait out the storm.....which even if they weren't bad, is what they should do anyways.....at least cut back a little and see how things settle out.   Either way, I see LSG as a target by someone big who wants it cheap and has their dealers nuts in a vice who will try to get their price any way possible.

How about this......somebody throw some numbers on the table here and show us how LSG is in a financial death spiral!   Quit wasting my time complaining about Tony......but wait, you don't have a real argument so that's the best you can come up with.

I would also bet that LSG is not selling gold at these prices either so if we rebound to $1600+ gold right away, then spring target EBIT forcasts will still hold true.

OOps, my bad.  Ignore my exploration comment, meant to edit that!  Looks like they only have $10-20 MM set aside for exploration.   Either way, I don't see any fundemental reason to sell LSG yet.   Giver

Listen to the last webinar...Tony states that the all-inclusive cost per ounce is roughly $1,400 (production, exploration, facilities, wages, sustaining capital).  With gold where it is, they'll never make enough money to be cash flow positive or pay off the debt.     They are broke....with insufficient cash flow to be profitable.  LSG needs gold above $1,600/oz to get out ...more

Each flipping ounce they pull out of the ground pays Tony alone $25/Oz. When a company is NOT profitable, you shouldn't be making $2M a year. What is management thinking! Oh yes, it's safe to say they are not. Why are we allowing them to pee our money away? We need to scream at the meeting and make a vote happen to rid this sandbox of the Tony's, I mean turds.

Dude, no need to go all "attack dog" style....when you look at the stock, you can't use ANY of their pro-forma assumptions.  I won't assume anything on production until they show it.  Just ask Goldhappy about the "remeber when" on this stock.  300k ounces?  Maybe never....so far their best year is around 86k ounces.  even this first quarter was  ...more

With Au prices up ~ $45+ over the past 2 days, LSG should be leveraged and should have responded, but it didn't. Unfortunately, this is usually never a good sign. Kirkland is/was in very similar circumstances as LSG, but it responded tremendously well - going up ~ 30%. Similar mark valuations - at least 2 days ago.

I share your thoughts golfcar. They are very late in the game...40 cents is 40 cents. I bought this thing all the way down. I'm in very heavy...too heavy...no choice...had to protect my share money in the event we get bought out...we could be stolen right now if people sell off like we have seen!! Thanks again for expressing your well educated views. All well written opinions should be ...more

You know why KGI is recovering? Only because or grade is going to be higher, hoisting capacity higher and mill production higher in a few montths And not ,but the least, they will announced their guidance for 2014 which might run from 150000 to 180000 onces or a   60% to 100% more than the actual production.Production cost is going to be much lower accordingly. Finally KGI might be a ...more

Giverbullets asked: "somebody throw some numbers on the table here and show us how LSG is in a financial death spiral!   " Well, I'm not going to say that LSG is in a death spiral.  But from an investment perspective, the likelihood that LSG will ever earn profits for its shareholders looks dimmer and dimmer every quarter, especially if the gold price remains below $1 ...more

Golfcar, I'd like to thank you for the thoughtful analysis that you've been posting on this board, for a while now.  You & Digger helped me to have a more reasoned outlook about this company.

EVERYONE got caught flat footed when gold took a dive from 1900. Most also tanked more recently, with the latest paper takedown. Seriously, does anyone think that gold will NOT recover to new highs? Any goldbug must know of Jim Sinclair, Max Keiser, Gerald Celente, Richard Rogers, who all told us to buy gold in 2001 and 2003. These good people are telling us to keep the faith, the fat lady ...more

A lot of us Longs are just hanging on with our finger nails hoping Jim-Max-Gerald-Richard--and the rest of the boys and girls are correct before THE GRIM REAPER calls our name for the last round up and we join all the really greats .

Wow! You guys are the worst Bashers I've seen!   Last years losses are due to capital spending. Takes money to make money.  Imerc, where do you suppose a 50% production cost increase comes from?  Sorry bud, maybe a 5% increase with a 20% production gain.  That's what happens when you optimize your assets.   And you better go do some homework on depreciation while ...more

Giverbullets , I'm working on stability and mobility on my core to improve on the slingshot effect on my golfswing so that the golf ball will take off like Lakeshore will ha ha .The rumour is mill is humming at March outputs , therefore bugs are ironed out awaiting new mill to increase production to 3,000 tpd plus. When you look at gold and exchange rate we are presently sitting at $1500 an ...more
