#Russian advisor threatens to dump #U.S Gov Bonds

While the comments by Russian presidential advisor, Sergei Glazyev, came before Putin’s detente press conference early this morning, they did flash a red light of warning as to what Russian response may be should the west indeed proceed with “crippling” sanctions as Kerry is demanding.  As RIA reports, his advice is that “authorities should dump US government bonds in the event of Russian companies and individuals being targeted by sanctions over events in Ukraine.”

Who needs bullets and guns anymore.  Financial ruin is the new weapon.  I was reading that one of the big reasons Putin will not invade the Ukraine is because they can't afford to financially.

That is very hard to believe. The national debt of Russia is miniscule compared with other large nations. External debt/capita; US ... $52,170 UK ....$160,158 Russia .. $3,634. Russia's external debt is about the same in total as that of Denmark. They can afford a war better than others, as they seem to have their financial house in order, which is more than we can say for the US or UK. https: ...more

I would have to say that they Can't afford Not to, it's the rest of the west that can't afford it. Financially or politically.
