Gold crashing again

Let's just get it over with. Hopefully gold will hit 1000.00 like everyone is saying then maybe mining stocks can finally start to move up..

Describing Gold as crashing being down $6 - $7 today after rising about $25 - $30 last week i feel is a bit of an exaggeration. If it was down  $40 , or $50 or more then i guess you could describe that as crashing a bit.  Probably day traders taking profit from last week , nothing more.  Other opinions are always welcome.

On the extremely rare occasions that Gold has made a significant rise it has ALWAYS been a one day wonder. It seems the same thing today. The shorters need to get their pound of flesh before it can start to go up again.

Not to worry, buying opportunities are ahead, institution shorts, those with money, are reaping the rewards of creating volatility and driving uncertainty into the heads of the weak. For now gold is a trade, watch the technicals, this is how we know what the institutions will do. if gold hits $1000 you better have a strong stomach.  There won't be many bids for junior miners at that level.  I have some LSG but even this one will  be trashed.

i wouldn't be prepared to put an actual price on what could happen.  This is a better company (i believe) than it was when it traded in the .30 range and that's reflected in the appreciation since then.  But the market can certainly be fickle and short term moves can be pretty violent especially if sentiment allows traders to gain control.  People on these boards, for the ...more
