Volume

high volumne again today when compared to other similar juniors.  price is at least responding positively today.  volumes and action do seem somewhat unusual.  wonder it LSG IR woul be able to provide an explanation?  anyone have any insights?  gltals....

Hey Bigdaddy, I think it is just a case of the big boys who did all the tax loss selling late in 2014, getting back in. In order to qualify for tax losses you have to stay out of the stock for 30 days (I believe) before buying back in. That's why you have all the bashers around trying to instill doubt with the smaller investors to try to keep the price down 'till they can all get back in ...more

finn, thanks for feedback.  hanging in there on LSG as I really cannot understand why current mkt cap is approxat $320MM USD?  at this moment gold is $1440 CAD which is highly profitable for LSG and they have proven they can deliver - much more than other juniors.  IMO we have to be rewarded.  positive drill results would help.  gltals.

Why have you Longs switched to using CAD gold price? Does it help you out psychologically???? Do you prefer using it because its a bigger number compared to the US # which EVERYONE uses as a standard...

Whoever said we switched. It's a measure to indicate Canadian mining companies are still prosperous at current gold levels. It's all about perspective and is sometimes refreshing to see things from different angles. You take a junior mining company in the states and I can guarantee they aren't doing as well. Mainly because all their overhead is in U.S. Dollars.  Perspective.  ...more

Hey Genius, it matters because their input costs (labour, fuel, insurance, etc) are all priced in CAD dollars.  So looking at Gold in CAD dollars is a fair comparision when considering company profitability.
