Time for a Bulk Sample From the 144 Gap?

Nice and thick with visible gold.

Makes you wonder what was going on at the conf. call...

Is it just me or does a 25,000 ton bulk sample need to start pronto with the aim of fast tracking

this to production if the results look good? I can see large ton stopes (like at Yound Davidson).

Shouldn't take at most 3 weeks running around 1000 TPD.     Let's start this aleady!

My other big question:  Does this outcrop to the surface?

Interpretation of drill results from the 144 Gap Zone continues to suggest that the zone is closely associated with a broad zone of hydrothermal alteration and deformation measuring up to 100 m wide containing multiple syenite porphyry intrusions and quartz veining, with pyrite, scheelite, galena and visible gold. Based on results received to date, the 144 Gap Zone is confirmed to have minimum strike and dip lengths of 400 m. The results from new drilling at 144 South indicate the presence of similar rock types, alteration and mineralization at distances up to 1.6 km to the southwest of the 144 Gap at elevations above the new 820 exploration drift.

cre8value i was thinking the exact same thing , how often do companies do something like this ? you seem to be very knowlegable about geology are you a geoligist ?

Why would they bulk sample this when Tony says they will be mining it in 2017? If you look at the figures provided in the last 2 PR's you'll see that it does not outcrop at surface; the top is 700m below surface and the bottom is 1100m below surface..it's 400m strike length at most and 10 to 75m wide... at 5gpt and 2.7 density you can quickly calculate a resource

BraV,     How can you say the bottom is at 1100 meters?  They have to do some deeper drilling to     confirm  that. At this point it is open at depth...     Of course they haven't found if it outcrops to surface yet. All they know is that it doesn't in this     particular area.  They would be extemely lucky if they could find ...more

cre8...  there is no need for a bulk sample... they just need to drill it for resource and start to get the mining process going...this will be the next step to adding onces or tones to the process...just going to get better from here,,,gltal

Couldn't agree more Idle, no need for a bulk sample, they'll outline the geometry of the deposit, do a resource estimate, develop a mine plan, and go at it. The main reason a bulk sample is taken is to do metallurgical studies to asssess the best milling process for the ore, usually as part of a PEA. The metallurgical properties of these deposits is well known.

for those that dont know.....PEAis defined asPreliminary Economic Analysis

A bulk sample would prove if you could mine this mineralization with large stopes without getting too much dilution. It would be very efficient and low cost.  It would also move along the process of getting this added to reserves if they were successful.

I have been thinking about the conf call.  What struck me was when on of the analysts as the cut-off date for drilling so that the results can be used to the updated resource estimate in Q1.  Tony did not know (which is understandable) so he passed the question off to the exploration VP.  The VP have an exact date which kind of struck me as unusual - he seemed to stumble slightly ...more

Big , they will put in there required amount of drilling and once all data is in resource will be calculated and even if data is received prior to the release date it won't be release till 3 week of Feb. with a other updates... .. There is no big deal , the main thing is a nice resource at 144 Gap... Gltal

I would not try to read too much into the Dec 31 date. Likely they are building a resource model as we chat. As the diamond drilling assay come in they get electronically plotted. New blocks and grades are established. The "what if" seneros are run for various questions....value , cut off , various graded block , tonnages. Fairly easy to do with computer programs and experianced ...more

I think it might be wise to publish results earlier as the model builds. Speculation about how large and valuable will grab investors attention. Something like the Yellon annoucements...month by month. Adds a little excitement and antispation and hopefully stock price movement.

goldhappy, don't get me wrong Tony will put out drill results but i wouldn't expect a resourse until 2-3 week of Feb as he mentions several times in conferences..i'm hopping for some drill results from Bell Creek also as they are punching in 32,000 meters there also...i beleive when we hit the 300,000 once ark in 2018 ..that will be our payday... gltal blas

goldHappy,    You are right.  This is why I suggested putting the bulk sample on the table, so investors could be looking forward to some of those results without having to wait until Feb. Confirm grade and mining method.  Data to be added to the model.
