Results Vs Share Price

I have been in Manulife for a long time.  If it weren't for the decent quarterly dividends I would have bailed long ago.  Manulife can't shake past events that labelled them under performers even though their recent results have been excellent.  They have done a good job managing their business.  The experts agree this company should be valued around $34+. But here we are at $25+ and can't seem to get past $27 even with solid momentum. I wish I had more answers Vs questions.  Especially now that the financial sector seems to be in for a hit.

And they've always said that higher interest rates help the insurers. Well, in MFC case, rates have increased and yet its still below $27! So now what? They'll say its a total market sell off, recession looming ets as the new reason lol? Always some excuse when it comes to MFC share price.    A 10yr chart of MFC is very depressing. And yes, if it wasn't for the quarterly ...more

I agree, make this a dividend play. I'm only here for the divi. People not loving MFC. Stopped carring aboutt SP but would like a 7-8% divi.

IN terms of performance. This stock is a joke. Holding greatly reduced and for good reason.
