Uranium is a safe buy

Uranium is a safe buyCasey says all hail the king of uranium, Cameco 2005-12-29 20:42 ET - In the News Shares issued 174,113,854 CCO Close 2005-12-29 C$ 74.96 Douglas Casey, writing in the Dec. 15, 2005, issue of his Energy Speculator, says buy Cameco Corp. at $69.45. Mr. Casey said buy in October, 1998, at $27.25, and said buy in April, 2005, at $45.25. Including a 3:1 share split in December, 2004, an investment of $1,000 each time would today be worth $8,959. The U.S.-based letter writer says Cameco continues to be his "no-brainer." He says first, the supply-demand fundamentals for uranium dictate the price will keep rising. Second, Cameco is the world's biggest producer of uranium, outputting more than 15 million pounds last year. He says there could yet be a double or more left in it before the bull market runs its course. Cameco is well up from its last Energy Speculator mention in June, 2005. Mr. Casey approves of the recent Zircatec Precision Industries purchase. Zircatec fabricates fuel bundles for nuclear plants. The buy moves Cameco into one more stage of the nuclear fuel cycle. Nuclear looks increasingly like the way of the future. He notes that during the current month, Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore became the latest green to publicly support atomic power. Cameco is probably one of the safest buys you can make, Mr. Casey says.
