RE: Re: annual issue hereDines has always taught to have a strategy going in and a strategy to get out. those differ depending upon on the trading positions and core positions you buy and at what costs and where you want to begin taking profits.
I still have all my core positions into the five figures. The most I ever got for MGA was in the upper $7 range down to $5 which was my last trading position sold. Because the buy in prices were so low and the number of shares in the tens of thousands I sold in 5,000 share lots.
I have made good money here and am fine. Others should have had a mental sell point. Dines preaches that all the time and always says we are responsible for buying and selling decisions. I never hold him responsible for my trading mistakes. For a stock like this my sell would have been to protect 50% profit or a 30% loss I'd start selling. But with MGA this was not an issue. It has been for a few other of his later recommendations.
