It's a real term. I didn't make it up. In the last great financial crisis, we voted for FDR and Europe went for Franco... Mussolini... Hitler, the rise of early twentieth century Fascism. It's not like plenty of Americans didn't want to follow suit. Prescott Bush, Henry Ford... and Charles Lindberg among others, all thought Fascism was the appropriate path. I see plenty of you still do.
Menawhile the US enjoyed 40 years of unparalleled prosperity and an expanding middle class until Reagan came along and dismanteled that... and Europe? Well they followed Hitler. I see plenty of you still would.
