all politics is economically driven you don't attempt to control the situation for nothing.
some woud argue that harper's plan to replace canadian miner's in tumbler is good for our poor chinese neighbours...by supporting foreign workers claims....tell that to the local guys looking for a decent job at a fair wage.
the problem is clear...its a race to the bottom where the planets resources are up for sale at the least common denominator. slash and burn economics guarded closely by hedgemonic poliics....its ironic that the while chronic unemployment looms large for northern bc miners the interests of plundering economics are being so frettingly managed by a canadian pm in peru et al while telling our guys to eat 'it'.
