Sad but true - No Tesla/Nano Partnership

Sad but true - No Tesla/Nano Partnership There is no NDA with Tesla.  It's sad and unfortunate but it's almost certain to be true.

I'm sure you will not take my word for it.  So please consult with other investors who have spoken with the Nano One team directly.  And if you think they can't tell you because of an NDA, you would be surprised how forthcoming they are.

I’m sorry @contrap127 I know you have held a strong belief in this potential partnership.  I, until now, was also very hopeful for that same update but unfortunately it’s not coming.

I believe @ascendantwingspan has a strong relationship with the Nano One team and I also believe he is generally regarded as a trustworthy voice in the Nano One community.  Ask @ascendantwingspan his opinion since he would have likely heard the same thing I have directly from the Nano One team.

I can now say with high confidence that there is no deal or plans or talks between Nano One and Giga Texas CAM plant to use One Pot technology.

Nano One has many great, real partners.  No further reason to speculate about Tesla.  It's just not on the bingo card.

Disappointing but the actual reality of what Nano is working on with actual partners is more than enough.  It may take longer than we all would like but that’s just how the real-world works.

2024 is all about securing an offtake contract.  Evaluations will be a long, iterative process with the dozen or so companies currently evaluating Nano’s CAM.  A large government grant can only happen once binding offtakes (i.e., sales) are assured.  No government grant can be expected until Nano can demonstrate to the government that they have an agreement with a partner who will buy their CAM.

Who knows what will happen over the next few months.  But I don’t think Nano is in any financial trouble and so there is no threat of insolvency any time soon.  So just tune out the share price, it is meaningless until they have business fundementals to evalute against.  Take the opportunity to buy more when it’s cheap (if you don’t already have enough).  And pray that their real partners (including their unnamed OEM) work together with Nano in good faith.

I can get excited just like everyone else hoping for a blockbuster update from Nano One.  But the reality is it will take time for Nano to get a deal, it will take more time to get a goverment grant, and even longer yet to get their business up and running.

These things don’t always work out.  I pray that things are as good as they seem and I have faith in the Nano One team and technology.  I remain long Nano One and have high conviction Nano will be part of the mix in the 2026-2030 timeframe.

Good luck to all the longs.

What a week indeed...
