The mine gets state or federal level assistance to bring it fully online.  The other solution which would be ok by me is if it gets bought up by Southern Copper or another mining operation.

Current management hasn't figured out how to get things done so I'm willing to hold the door open while they exit and welcome a new management team to make things right

My belief is that Pala wants a sale (aka change of control) but could not work out a deal.  We know their breakeven is high ($0.70 if I recall).  The thing is, Pala is not negotiating in a position of strength.  There are swimming with sharks and no one is going to bite without a major deal.   Hence Chapter 11 is a tactical move to protect their equity from a bad deal
