RE:RE:RE:RE:Forecast – Dark days ahead, swirling clouds of doubt mixed .I read your post several times and became only more confused at what you were trying to say.
First do not confuse your misunderstanding for insight.
Some of what you say personally I find ridiculous at least when using the definition of “job” that I’ve developed over the last 50 years. Perhaps your attitude toward “work” maybe different from mine. You see it as a job, I see trading mining stock as a game: It’s like monopoly and I get a kick at passing go and collecting $200. Dollars are just the scoreboard, I just really like winning – it makes me smile –and, of course, NOT losing.
Perhaps almost as much as the scorecard is the sense of adventure that mining has always had for some me. That great Scot, Robert Service knew him in
The Men That Don't Fit In
There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.
If you find my approach to be cautious I would agree. I learned long ago that not losing paid as well as winning. My fav founder (played chess with the ladies of the French court while Washington froze at Valley Forge – brilliant man) once said, “A penny saved is a penny earned” No I didn’t actually hear him say it, but …
