When the risk / reward ratio is lower it tends then to be termed "investing."
Question: If you go to the grocery store and buy not quite last day fish for 50% off are you investing buy saving money on maintainence capital (the energy required to fuel your body,) or speculating (that there is no practical difference,) or gambling that you will not get some higher ration of bacteria for your white blood cells to practice warfare with?
