Personally I have not had much success with share consolidation in other stocks in the past but having said that the current float is high and will go higher with warrants once exercised.

I do agree that higher share price will attract institutional investors and like you stated the stock will qualify for margin.

Do you know if share consolidation was pre-approved by shareholders and was there details on the consolidation such as  20:1 or 15:1 etc.

I don't trade on US exchanges so not sure where NCU trades but higher share price would assist with listing on NY or NasDaq which again would attract attention to big US investors.
