No, I do not and never have to the best of my memory, ever invested in a marginal, one-trick pony start-up. NCU simply didn’t and doesn’t meet my investment criteria. Sorry, but it don’t. Now I have explained almost on a monthly basis that my investment in local RE was a proxy on PH’s reserves. Land speculation near mineral discoveries have traditionally been very profitable and is an entirely a normal part of economic development opportunity in the desert (shortage of housing). They say a saloon on a Main St. corner is as good as a mine itself.
BTW – The fellows who financed and blasted the RR through the Sierra weren’t miners. They were merchants who sold picks and shovels to miners.
