I'm sorry mining in China is an either or not thing with me, and I choose not.  I do not know enough about China to do business there.  I know a little about Mexico, Peru, Africa and so on and haven't time to really learn all I would need to know to feel safe in that state run eocnomy. get a Interactive Brokers acount and trade the miners on the TSX..  there are about 30 of them and outside of earning s reports run as momentum stoks/group..  one up - usually all are up.. the TSX is small and has a lot of retail investors who hold large positions on roralty - dividend - trust..  in the past the canadian goverment did not tax gains on the divident trust.. minerals

Well it appears that SilverCorp is going to open at 20% above Friday's close. If this silver squeeze goes the way of Gamestop SilverCorp SVM could soon be a hundred dollar stock, China or not.

Well I know you are a big fan of MAG Bog. But so far today MAG is up 9% and my China miner SilverCorp SVM is up 18%.

Still am, but sold it last Friday to reduce risk of a market collapse.  I will no doubt invest there again as I posted before – no debt, positive cash flow, low float.  Those are called reasons for owning a stock, so what can you say about yours?  Since you consider investing as a form of competition, why didn’t you buy GATO

Ouch that must hurt selling MAG on Friday just before today's gain. Now you have some cash in hand consider buying some SilverCorp. It's up 24% now on the day. Glad I bought it on Friday.

Well, like I said there is also risk to consider and my cauious approach has paid handsomely for many years.   So things aren't always as simple as they seem.  I sold MAG 1/13 for $20, now it shows a 10% gain, but I took my 10% in SLV and bot. GATO @ $14.01 that I sold Friday @ 14.50, now 14.95 for another 7%.  Of course, I haven't sold that GATO yet, so "never count

I will sell positions to reduce risk but hopefully only when another target has been identified.  Actually the pain has been lessened since my portfolio gain today 1% greater than MAG, but I also rotated back into one of my fav. silvers at a 3.4% discount, which then made another 5.6% gain.  And for all my trouble my porfolio only gained 13.05% today.  Darn. b.

Horse pucky!  It's always the new kid who thinks they invested it.  Last I heard Canada has recenlty barely outproduced the state of Nevada in gold.  Let's also consider each's historical production where Canada comes up far short.
