ADELLA HARDING Mining Correspondent
Pumpkin Hollow underground mining operations and surface mill operations are in the hands of Nevada Copper Corp. employees as the mine gears up for full production, said the company’s president and chief executive officer, Randy Buffington.
“This is the first time a 100% Nevada Copper team is running this mine, so the team is in place,” he said.
In the past, contractors did much of the mining and processing tasks.
There are roughly 220 to 240 employees on the team, and Nevada Copper also has a long-term contract with Small Mine Development for developing ore inventory for future mining. Buffington said SMD would have about 100 employees on site by the end of February.
“That would put us at about 350 people on site,” he said in a phone interview.
Buffington needs to get out of the spokes model mode.. get a spokes person…. He is worthless for a POV… he is simply a scarie person… and a glass panel for dikta discussions v/s weekie leakies..
350 people and he has no peerage or actual corporate spokesperson… the stok is trading less than a dime… hides in the woods when it shines… its a joke.. time to move on…
I want the billion from the finance budget which passed.. not buff blowon best efforts and permanently broke w cheezie SEDAR to gass lite the desert scapes…
realpeople – neeed real team professionals that carry the mission.. not a one man band.
