And the point of your post was what? You claim you are "gobsmacked" i.e. utterly astonished; astounded. Pray tell what specifically do you find so absolutely shocking? That people in extraordinary times should speak out publicly of politics and philosophy? Really? Our capital, our government was attacked, people died, our representatives fled in fear, and you expect “business as usual”? Get a grip!
I don’t believe it. After many years of fielding similar attempts to censor this public forum and reading the other posts written by the disaffected, I found almost without exception that those who complain the loudest about my posts, disagree with my opinion far more than they are actually disturbed that I would post same on this board. In other words, it is mainly right-wingers conservatives who try to suppress not only our votes, but out voices as well.
At best I call their attitude the “remote” complex, they expect to switch channels to the content they are interested in. when they demand it. At worse it is un-American for the freedom to speak freely in a public forum is very foundation of liberty.
