Copper Rises while NCU continues to free fall

This is simply amazing - copper has had a stellar rise and NCU has had a stellar fall.  How much will shareholders endure....  At this rate we could see a nickel a share by next week...  Anyone wanting to oust management - I will gladly support this with my shares...

NCU - dismal performance. Period. They have a duty of care to all the stakeholders. Decent management displays that. Some assurance is required to placate the market that management is executing in earnest to put the company in better place. We don't buy that they just keep mum, get salary paid, and do nothing to bring confidence back.

They are prohibitted by securites law to do anything with the aim of influencing the market. Plain, clear and true disclosure of material facts only. The market does what the market does. Yes they can and often will comment on not knowing why some severly unusual activity is taking place but people selling and people buying, even if you don't like the price, is not of material consequence. If ...more

In the context of continuous steady decline of SP and several new 52 week lows in quick succession, it is never illegal to say that nothing fundamentally has changed with respect to the company and it does not tantamount to influencing the market.

Do you see other companies doing that? When should they do it IYO? Every day that it goes down? Every week it goes down? What about every day it goes up? Should they say that they don't know why it is going up? Come on... If it were to jump 500% in a day and no one knew why that would be reason to say something to the market. Notgnu

Anyway... It  could be as simple as tax clearout by a fund like Blackrock or any other. At this pice it means nothing to them and they don't want shiiite share certificates on their books... even if the asset is good. Notgnu

Shouldn't that be -  Just put on your big girl pants and buy more... 'cuz it's all just a big put on anyways?   Hey Rocky, Don't you just feel terrible over these new shareholders who are down right now?   I know I do.  Just glad I invested in the ore deposit.  BTW - I just love reserves, and they love me back. b.

Good point... Wasn't actually sure if in was "pants" or "blouse"... up for debate I guess. Anyway, just razzing you a bit. It's coming up on beer-o'clock . Have a good wekend all. Happy guessing for next week as nf says.

Given all the positive market factors (rising CU price) and the company is now producing concentrate, NCU's share price should show a nice upward trend. The fact that it is in downfall indicates one of the following: 1.  Incompentent mgmt and board.  Are they really that stupid, especially as they have shares and warrants?  Likely not.  They are intentionally letting ...more

Lumpy13 where do you get that PALA owns 42% and Castle Lake at 20% which represents a combined ownership of 62%?? The facts are the PALA owns 22.32 % and Castlelake owns 9.18% which represents 31.50% which is a far cry from the 62% you claim. Stop spewing misinformation and stick to the facts. The other fact is PALA owns more then 10%, so they are considered an insider and have blackout periods ...more

Good discussion mark. I have been trying to figure positions. But get all kinds of different data. This is by memory. Stock house shows 1.5 billion shares out. There was about 100 million worth of 16 cent paper printed. So about 600 million shares. There was a transfer deal, castle to pala. I kind of lost the deal in the fine print. Sedi shows castle with 275 million shares. I believe bgore the ...more

It's about right. Just did my first read through about 36 months of press releases. Pala also has the right to convert the interest on some fairly high interest convertible notes into shares at anytime if I recall... can't remember if that is at a discount or based on x days avg trading. My next read through I might actually takes some notes (at the expense of cutting into my drinking time ...more

So pala and castle bought 465 million units on top of there holdings. If they held 300 million pre sale, that would b 765 million shares or 50%. When warrants are exorsized float will b about 1.8 billion.  Pala and castle will hold about 1 billion of 1.8 billion float. So about 55%. nf

Hey not. I believe what u speak of was the loan paid of by the paper print. It was paid in full with interest. nf
Comment by nofluff on Oct 23, 2020 7:04pm
The good news is that they r paying there bills. Pala is footing it. nf

Cool, cool nf. I will definitly re-read a little closer this weekend. I like what I see so far. Seems they have actually made good use of the mill shut down time to stage a good stock of high grade ore and to complete some of the hoisting and ventilation gear etc. With current copper prices the cash could fow nicely if they don't get Covid shut again. Cheers, Notgnu
