The United States is becoming like Northern Ireland.  They say that those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them, and 30-40% of Republicans consistently say that political violence might be necessary.  Do any of our Republican friends really believe that either Catholic or Protestant escaped the pain and suffering from all those years of terror and heartache?  Do they really want an American IRA to spring up in our cities?  Civilian deaths from domestic bombings, gun fights in the streets, tens or hundreds of thousands of “detainees” in concentration camps?  Is that what they want for our country?  Or is it what Russia and China want?
