EPA’s Pebble veto is based on EXISTING LAW and 13 similar vetoes regarding 13 different projects are derived from EXISTING LAW.

All of EPA's veto efforts have been successful. All 13 previous vetoes stood the test in courts.

 

The SCOTUS Chevron ruling is different, it's not based from EXISTING LAW.

SCOTUS ruling was based on a current law, which the state used the Chevron 1984 ruling as precedent to enforce the current law. Current laws created based on Chevron 1984 ruling are all squashed, which presumably the veto powers were created and enacted on based on the 1984 Chevron ruling. Next expect multinational firms that do business worldwide and bribe in jurisdictions that allow bribing ...more
