LJP, I don’t buy your thesis that there would be too many dissenters to a Glencore takeover.   As I understand it, they would need two thirds of shareholders to agree to it.  It would of course depend partially on the two big shareholders agreeing.   Neither of them has added to their positions since the October announcement that there would be extensive repairs. Both would have a hard time exiting their positions, without a buyout.

I believe that Glencore has no real motivation to buy CEZ.   They have what amounts to a puppet management and what appears, at least on the surface, to be a completely indifferent independent board. Their only real risks is a lawsuit.  I am surprised that nobody has filed a Statement of Claim as it is relatively easy to do and as you imply Glencore would not likely be thrilled with discovery.   Lau is a lawyer but so far appears to be a passive investor.
