RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:ALERTS - Insiders buying large like CEO Kanaan

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:ALERTS - Insiders buying large like CEO KanaanI did some research on Parallax Capital - here is what I learned:

a) Private equity firm in California
b) Typically buy a controlling interest in tech companies with significant growth potential
c) They only buy companies with a proprietary technology (ie. high barrier to entry)
d) They bring in thier own management team and acquire board seats - very hands on management.
e) Once they acquire - they are active with M&A (in house team looking to grow through M&A or sell) - deep relationship with investment banking community and other private equity.
f) They build companies through acquisitions - then sell them.
g) They came through DIVx acqusition.

Looking at thier portfolio of companies - I am about 90% convinced Neulion is being positioned for sale - when - no idea but if they do - i'm also sure the selling price will be a double or triple from current levels....this private equity firm has a strong track record dating back to 1999.

Also - knowing what I know now about this firm - what a great partner to have with deep pockets and deep expertise.....I think the DIVx acquisition had less to do with technology and more to do with relationships (customer and investors).
