A lot to ponder

Budget for now won't do anything for the stock price in the short-term. As time progresses and solar power in Alberta and Oneida storage in Onatrios take advantage of the tax credits, will the positive impact be felt on the company's income statement.

Nice to have a long-term plan, but a lot of work ahead for the Feds and provinces in the decades ahead. 

If the problems of an underperforming/unreliable Muskrat Falls Dam in Newfoundland is an issue already, what about the future with offshore wind? That's why the Atlantic Loop figured prominent in the budget. Hydro from Quebec will have to be used.

I can see Northland going into green hydrogen, because of restrictions on the oil/gas industry in producing blue hydrogen: The budget was also notable for what wasn’t in it for the oil and gas industry. While it did tweak last year’s carbon capture incentives, it didn’t go as far as some were pushing for, while the emissions cut-off for hydrogen production will likely exclude most carbon-capture ...more
