Priorities

PrioritiesWorking on necessities first. Renewables are a luxury at the moment.

To clarify, that is his choice not to have running water as the village has water to the property line.

The village itself just got a new water well drilled (55 feet deep) with good quality water. Also the a new lift station was built. Waste water goes to lift station,  which is then pumped to the lagoon. And new lagoon cells built away from a visible location. Will reduce nutrient loading in the lakes.  New water line will improves the quality of water by reducing incidents of brown and discoloured water and improving disinfection. The UN (CLEM is a grassroot organization of the UN) gave the village a water award for achieving 5 UN goals.

The villages's motto: "to build better back".

A public utility wants to replace an old wooden pole with a modern digitial cellular tower to improve wireless communication.  They say the location and the height of this new tower maximizes the network coverage area, whch can't be achieved by co-location on any existing infrastructure.

So far no go. RF energy health concerns cited from nearby residents.

Coyotes running around in the community again.

To top everything off for the politicially minded, PM Trudeau visited a town just 7km away in recent years. At least some priorities were addressed.

Transition for anything major always takes time. The area won't have windfarms as pelicans and migratory birds are all over the place.
