RE:Compensation Benchmarks

RE:Compensation BenchmarksHi Stan, Thanks for the comparisons, but it's always dicey ground when you compare two different sectors. CV would no doubt point out that they are apples and oranges.

Having said that, I'm not a fan of the bonuses CV has recently bestowed upon himself. There's the base salary, plus the sizable bonus compared to revenue/EBITDA/net income AND the 750,000 low-price stock options that are valid for a decade. ALL of those benefits combined is what is sticking in my craw, and the craw of many others it sounds like.

This needs to be brought up at the upcoming investor's meeting and we'll see what CV has to say. Personally, I would like to see a bonus based on EBITDA or net income, rather than revenue or other milestones. That is the ultimate bottom line by which a company measures success.

I thought you might find the following public compensation benchmarks helpful in light of recent disclosures by our Company.

2020 Annual Compensation (in Canadian dollars):

MP - Member of Parliament (Federal government)     $182,000
MP who is also a Cabinet Minister                               $269,800
MP who is also the Prime Minister of Canada              $365,200

CEO of Verde Agritech                             $971,000    ($420,000 base + $551,000 bonus)

                                                           Annual Revenue                 Number of Employees

Government of Canada                     $366,000,000,000                             300,450

Verde Agritech                                              $9,167,000                                      98

Just to be clear, this is not an April Fool's joke.
