Brazil imports 95% of its potassium

Brazil is the fourth largest consumer of fertilizers in the world, responsible for about 8% of global demand and is the largest fertilizer importer. The country imports around 80% of all fertilizer used for agriculture.

In the case of  potassium the country imports approximately 95% of its consumption.

This dependence is obviously a national security and food security for Brazil .

This strategy is likely to stimulate projects linked with mineral production and particularly potassium, which is an essential plant nutrient used to overcome soil deficiencies.

The problem is that Brazil has large-scale potassium reserves in the north of the country, mainly in the Amazon there are on indigenous lands and this will require a change in the law to allow that production.

Which is unlikely to happen.

But, NPK has huge reserves outside Indigenous lands and needs only capital to move to the next stage as a major producer of potassium that could serve more than 50% of Brazil's fertilizer needs.

it will come because Verde is Brazils only hope of self sufficiency

Or farmers maintain status quo,  which so far is the case. 100,000 tonnes fits in one heavy hauler, inconsequential

Yep, and the status quo of using  conventional potash has worked for decades and made many farmers very wealthy. They are understandably an obstinate bunch who trust what has worked for them. To suggest Verde's kforte should be offered the same reputational trust as conventional potash speaks to grand wishful thinking bias.
