RE:Well, Im new hereBumphrey, IMO Novo is the best thing to happen to Australia since the discovery of the Olympic Dam IOCG deposit. Their holdings are vast and they have their own mill. The technical issues are minor and can be overcome.
Look, Broken Hill helped to advance a project in Arizona to explore below a played-out copper mine*. What they found became so big they could not handle it alone so sold half to Rio Tinto. Broken Hill is saying (off-the-record) that this is likely to become the largest copper porphyry find ever. It is proving to be one long chain or ore from central Arizona to deep into the SE part of the state.
So what, you ask? The deposit is so incredibly deep that it was known from the beginning that new technologies would be required to extract the very high-grade ore. That has not slowed the partnership which has spent hundreds of millions of dollars already as they near the permitting phase.

My point is that if the talent and motivation are there - I think so -, and if the value is there - I think it is -, technical issues can be overcome more easily than some would think. And the issues facing Novo pale in comparison to those confronted by Resolution Copper.
All in my opinion, of course.

*The new discovery at this location changed the thinking about the structure of copper porphyry deposits such that many explorations are underway around what were thought to be played-out mines.
