Understanding the Battle Lines

Understanding the Battle LinesI want to make something clear to readers of this board.  It pertains to what I define as the battle lines for engagement between posters.

TxRogers is a cyber entity.  There is no correlation to a real person, a real business, or any intention for income to be generated from the posts. I consider this Stockhouse channel refreshingly free of censorship and inhibition.  And it should remain that way in my opinion.  All the way from the West and into Asia.

As a result, I am opening to the full gambit of dialogue  – be it complimentary, derogatory, perverse, and even homicidal.  Everything is acceptable as long as one important battle line does not get crossed:  The negative impact to a real person’s income or livelihood.  There is a divide between the web-world and reality.

Which brings me to the subject of some recent sparring on this channel.

Let me begin in the real world of Novo Resources and Quinton Hennigh.  Criticism against Novo’s business models, valuations, acquisitions, shareholder relations, and QH’s vision is wide open to discussion.  We have heard it from CRUX, Seeking Alpha, and other assorted websites.  All valid and important discussion points were raised by these parties, many of which I disagreed.  As a Novo investor that is bullish on the story, I have and will continue to argue points the way I see them.

In our cyber world, the primary battle lines for a real business and real persons needs to be continually observed as well.  We have to self-moderate to some extent to enjoy the freedom to spar.  And to make money.

IKN is a cyber beast in my opinion.  It has a right to exist and run its own show.  The battle lines drawn by such a beast extends into territory that stakes QH (a real person) as a circus master, an unscrupulous manager, and an opportunist seeking as many side jobs as possible.  I completely disagree with this unfounded assessment, and to be truthful I consider QH as a friend.   I am invested primarily in the company management, so I view damage done to the management name as negatively impacting my investment.  That is a crossing a battle line.  It’s dirty, and I will rightfully defend against it because it dips into my wallet.

I am about to step out and address someone that also appears to be real:  Mr. Mark Turner.  This post will be the first and last time I ever mention the name.

I actually know very little about this individual, and have never corresponded on any level.  But if this name carries real value, and is tied to a revenue generating business that both he and dependents rely upon income, this name should also not be soiled or damaged.  Not at a level that results in business damage.  And I have no such intentions.

In contrast, Mr. IKN is malevolent and sociopathic in my opinion.  It is capable of real business damage when it is aimed towards a real man and his business.  I suppose I must accept this for what it is.  But Mr. Turner cannot tether himself to this IKN monster, unleash it onto others, and then be surprised about a defense against it.  A cyber defense which may unintentionally spill into his real world.  The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde formula doesn’t work in reality.

The Stockhouse board has deteriorated considerably as a result of this subject.  I am no longer engaging on this matter.   I only have one last request for the ones that pass this post along.  Please leave this post as is, do not dissect it, and misconstrue the content.
