RE:RE:RE:THANKS WISEGUY - SUMMARY OF JAYANT'S COMMENTSwaitingstill wrote: Spot on TX. I was surprised by Jayant's comments about ES investing style as it is pretty obvious I - big bets across a broad swathe banking that a few multi-baggers will drown out the losers. That is an investing style most of us can not afford. One time I did a relative ratio of investment based on ES net worth of just over $1billion compared to someone with $1mil. It is pretty obvious. A when he puts $3mil into a company to take a relatively large position, it would be the equivalent of the $1mil investor putting in $3000. Do you pennies actually to his wealth. So ES can move a company to the next level with just his (relative) penny investment while the rest of us would have a negligible effect with the same relative investment. So it is folly to try to emulate or keep pace with ES. Jayant did say that when the "Spot effect" takes hold, make sure you sell some which makes sense and is similar to what you are suggesting I believe. One thing about Spot though, once he is in, very difficult for him to get out without crashing the price as we have seen in other stocks. I believe ES is 74 or 75 years old now. I think his timeline is also a bit shorter than most investors and he wants to "go big or go home" before he checks out. I hope he leaves a legend as he has really been a positive force for PMs in general imo.
Remember who was in charge when this all happened - see link.

But he's now retired and playing Riverboat Gambler. A well deserved retirement.
We now sit back to see how QH repeats things with Lady Jane Novo.
That's the play. That's our gamble.
