HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IN WINE?I'm only about 9 chapters into Mr. Moriarty's book, but he talks about drinking Australian wine (that gets taxed by the way EVERY year, not just once) with Creasy - and Creasy summarily spraying the top of his glass of wine with hydrogen peroxide? Mr. Moriarty then mentions something about hydrogen peroxide, which has an extra oxygen atom, "oxidizing the sulfites in wine in the same way that light and water oxidize sulfide MINERALS" ???
I think Mr. Moriarty is referring to the same process which caused GOLD in WA to PRECIPITATE (by the introduction of OXYGEN to seawater 2-3 billion years ago) - and is maybe HIS WAY of telling us this is precisely the REASON Creasy was so attracted to QH, the guy with the SAME theory of gold precipitation and thereby decided that QH was to be the steward of all his property in WA. Very interesting.
Can't wait to read the rest of this GREAT (and entertaining) book - but alas am a very busy man these days .....
