I believe you are correct.  The obvious question becomes:  How do they expect to recoup their money?  Based on the deal they made with Novo. After all, wasn't a common line of thinking earlier in the year that the mill deal would never happen, IMC would write it off, and the place would be sold for scrap / salvage?  Well, that did not happen.   What signs are you seeing?  They're important so please share.  Holding period has expired. And how do you speculate that selling Novo shares when BC is profitable is the optimal means of recovering funds that were lost from the MOY debacle?  Wouldn't a better course of action be to stick with a profitable and growing business? Seems a bit counterintuitive ...more

Interesting perspective. "Many people believe bc will be profitable. Some smart people like kl dont think so or they would have stayed instead of taking a loss. I expect IMC to look at it the same way kl did. Get what you can now if you dont think it will be profitable. Because things will fall apart pretty quick if they start piling up a few quarters if losses." There are also ...more
