Asian food supplies arewthreatened

...by another outbreak there of African Swine Fever.  This is another infection linked to bio-warfare labs though the following link does not mention it.  China is still reeling from massive and "secret" lockdowns related to COVID-19, so who can tell what a food-related pandemic will not do to their economy - and that of the world - if this too gets out-of-hand.  Got gold?

I don't know who briefs you, Mr. President.   But I wouldn't worry yourself too much about Asian food supplies, dietary habits, and their economic tribulations. As for gold, I really don't how any Swine Flu or any other respiratory illness would ever change its place in Asian cuisine. https://www.horikin.co.jp/english/gold-leaf/165 You see, when it comes to prosperity ...more

Actually, I imagine that Mr. President is far too busy carpet bombing Oldfk into oblivion.  So maybe he's not advising too much. But he probably enjoys dishing out just desserts nevertheless. What's are global population these days?  Is there enough gold to feed us all?  Leave alone chocolate and strawberries. Tx

Oh, my error.  I thought that hunger could be confused with economic conditions, a driver of POG.  And I certainly agree that this story is in such early stages as to be somewhat meaningless, except to pig farmers in Asia.

As if you world doesn't have enough problems, huh?  Hopefully that turns out to benefit US, Canada,  and Australia agribusiness'. Interesting that you believe that could affect gold...hmmm.

Yes, I rank quite low on conversational "inference" skills.  That is probably related to my former professional experiences and health issues affecting cognition.  Sorry to offend.

The next major Bitcoin correction may affect gold, but it is debatable which way the move would be.  With the margins Quinton believes Novo can produce we certainly have a comfort zone in Western Australia  :)

Wow, an older analyst just said on Bloomberg that he believes gold is down because of Bitcoin's surge. ...we all know how any bubble ends ;)

'Bitcoin Mania' is a lot like 'Tulip Mania' was.  lol  IMO For the Youngins; Tulip mania Tulip mania was a period during the Dutch Golden Age when contract prices for some bulbs of the recently introduced and fashionable tulip reached extraordinarily high levels, and then dramatically collapsed in February 1637. It is generally considered to have been the first ...more

Seriously Bull runny are you a grade school teacher? Your condescending posts are not welcome here. There are no youngins here. Bitcoin is more of a veiled pyramid scheme than a bubble  No one here wants to talk about it because you cannot  drop it on your toes.      IKE
Comment by ronreagan on Mar 09, 2021 11:13am
That's not nice, Ike. I don't find the Runz's posts condescending any more than anybody else's. We're for letting everybody get it off their chest around here, right? We just might come across a jewel somewhere in all the rants? If you're so sensitive about condescension, maybe you oughta start getting in the Old Fogie's face a little bit? Talk about! We don't ...more
