Mr. Market does't care.

Novo's share price was up sharply before the news release was posted, and it has continued to gain afterward.  In that Novo is no longer a producer (for now), it makes sense that GDXJ would have to dump them. 

No one seems to care beyond the usual tax loss selling hitting most others in this sector this month.  Even so, Novo's gains today outpace other explorers.

Novo no longer being a "producer" has nothing to do with them being thrown out of the GDXJ.
