RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Is the deal off?Thank you Dogs...
This language is present in almost all contracts which is the reason Cineplex is down to $6 while the takeover offer is at $34.
Same goes for Sunwing Vacations. The market firmly believes these deals will not go through even though the Cineplex deal cannot be dismissed outright.
I do not think that a 3 day or 2 week declared emergency in Ontario affects the real estate properties that NVU holds. The current virus hysteria is infact a boon to the REITS who can lower their cost of borrowing and maybe get some motivated seller. Dogsbreakfast4U wrote: The agreement provides that the purchaser may withdraw its offer at any time before closing in the case of a quote Material Adverse Event unquote. This term is defined in the agreement. You may wish to read it. The agreement is available on Sedar. It includes matters that affect the real estate market generally and epidemics specifically. The market may be concerned right now that the purchaser may not follow through because of the current virus hysteria and just declared state of emergency in Ontario.
