Akram and Psycho are both rightSammy Fretwell is indeed an immature grown-up version of that teenage girl who gets news coverage for her "climate change" stuff. And Fretwell did cause some delays and increased initial costs.
Fretwell is a one-man operation. In South Carolina, the Sierra Club and the other anti-Haile organizations are each basically one-person operations. They all are great at getting press coverage, but in South Carolina, they actually don't affect great changes. Our state's politicians are pro-business and pro-jobs. If these groups were powerful and truly influential in South Carolina, the Haile mine would never have received the go-ahead.
I would bet that no other state East of the Mississippi River would have given the Haile mine a permit.
South Carolina is a relatively small and poor state compared to other states, but our pro-business political leaders have accomplished much. In our state, BMW builds sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and sports cars; Volvo builds cars; Mercedes Benz builds Sprinter vans; and believe it or not, South Carolina makes more tires for cars and trucks than any other state. (More tires than Ohio and Oklahoma make.)
And in Charleston, Boeing builds Dreamliner jet planes-- it's an amazing sight to see these giant jets lined up next to each other at the plant. And in the final steps, they get painted here in the colors of airline companies from all over the world. It's a beautiful sight.
I wish I was smart enough to have done what Akram said he did-- sold Romarco before it crashed and then bought back. But that leads me back to what Diane did in her lies and false promises, and I'm not going to go through that stuff again.
Happy Easter!
