You're right, no one is going to want to buy all that equipment and soil treatment for 4 lousy plants that will not even guarantee producing. I do see people growing in backyard, but that is very limited on season. Put it this way, you can grow all the cucumbers in the world in your backyard but i still see people buy cucumbers at the store.
Bang on with the wine and beer. You can make wine and beer at home, but why are alcohol sales always increasing year over year?
