Take over negotiationsRepsaetng my previous comments.
First I have been part of 3 takeoversd that I can rememeber.
Most recent was in negotiations for 6 months. During that time the share price indiecate zero of such activity.
Once a deal was agreed to the floowing happened.
1. A N.R. came out discussing the "potential" deal.
2. A package was sent to shareholders giving complete timelines of the negotiations. All of which are logged druing meetings. Never disclosed publicly as that is first line of any negotiation. Called a non-disclosure agreement. The company cna do nothing to hint, or advance its image, beyond normal course updates. A.K.A required quarterly meetings etc.
ironically, the year end confernce call indiated all ahead with now changes.
In the backgound they were into second round of back & forth price negotiations.
3. The shareholders the vote on the proposal, of the takeover.
Regretably at no time are any offers made pulic uuntil they get to the final stages.
As far as we know there could be mutiple offers or zero. Anyone clamiing they know are making things up.
The trading S.P. does not indicate any activity as, publicly there is none. That does not mean there is none.
Looking at the science there shulld be & verywell could be.
Managment has indicated " we continue dialog with our potential pharma colaboators"
Those hwo feel we sould be uodated on every offer?
The shareholders regerttably do not have the busines or medical acumen to have that decsion.
Back to the one company I owned that was taken over.
Once they reached a reaonable agreement: An outsode agency was brought in, one for each company, to determine & give a legal opinon of fair value.
All fo that data was in my package explaing the negotiations and outside opinion of fair value.
For example: assuming Roshe makes an offer. nither Oncolytics want shareholder revolt for sellng too low, or Roche for paying to much.
Appying directly to ONC/ There are mnay who paid & have a $2/PS break even & would be delighted to have $4ps. Others need $20Ps to break even.
That is why I keep saying the trading price is irreivant.
The outcome will be based on many factors of value.None of which which will inclsed the present day trading price.
