Pre deal markets activity There are a few lines of thought, regarding market activity indicating a deal is just around the corner or miles away.
i can. Only go by my past history.
As I mentioned, pre A.N. Deal the S.P. Was dismal & volume next to zero.
identical to now.
What I did notice ( back then),...& I was not at that time holding significant shares.
what I noticed was a clear pattern of near end of day, price support. Identical to now.
The support volume was not huge. Just enough to stabilize the price.
We saw some of that today, early afternoon .
watch for the 3:30-4:00 trading.
Back then, and on the change of Matt taking over for Brad T. , I watched.very Close.
seeing the same pattern over & over, I jumped in.
the A.N. Deal was announced with a trading hault.
My point?
in some cases there are pre- deal clues. The A.N. Deal, subtle hints. Could even had been total coincidence.
Like I said , regarding Onc. Lear; to expect the unexpected.
