Oncolytics Biotech Inc T.ONC

Alternate Symbol(s):  ONCY

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. This compound induces anti-cancer immune responses and promotes an inflamed tumor phenotype turning cold tumors hot through innate and adaptive immune responses to treat a variety of cancers. This improves the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, making tumors more susceptible to a broad range of oncology treatments. The Company’s primary focus is to advance its programs in hormone receptor-positive / human epidermal growth factor 2- negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer and advanced/metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to phase 3 licensure-enabling studies. In addition, it is exploring opportunities for registrational programs in other gastrointestinal cancers through its GOBLET platform study.

syb-onc

syb-oncMy turn......whether or not some of like the deal it needs to be done.We must look long term.I am a holder of onc shares only. Don't expect the shares of onc to drop very far.Of course there is the chance for some arbitrage for those that wish to do so,but be careful as most of you on this board know why you are really here. For a chance to be a part of history(who knows),some for the science, some for a hope for a cure, and some for the chance to make money.I'm in for a little of everything and will be in for the long run. Most of the times when deals are done whether it's a situation like syb-onc or raising money (even if done at a lower price than what people percieve market to be)the stock almost always has a tendancy to rise, because it is percieved as a go forward step for the company. Whether or not you like the deal, management needs to move on and concentrate on what will ultimately make this company a top holding in anyone's portfolio. We can also analyze and break this deal down all we want, but really, how long do we want to drag this on especially in light of what might be coming down the pipe and if it doesn't go,do we really understand the ramifications for the company. Of course it may not be the best deal in town, but do we really want to wait and take our chances as to whether or not we could get a few more pennies. There are too many things that are going to happen short term with the stock that this needs to be wound up asap. There are reasons and timing for doing the things that need to be done. ONC has always stated that they wanted to increase their U.S. shareholder base and that syb has a large southern exposure already. What better way to start and have investors South of us sit up and at least take a serious look. OK,now with that out of the way,or at least out for all to look at,what would now be the next logical step for onc on a go forward basis.Concentrate on what needs to be done now.Proving up the science, protecting their(our)product and applications there of,and get the trials going. This could mean phase 2 anyday now if you look at it in this context. Management is not always perfect as some of us would like, but it's time to move forward and I for one fully support them in their decision.(ok-there's my vote and hype) Strongly think about what is coming up soon in regards to onc.Prostate 2,glio approvals,Hc,and fda, systemic trials, and so on and so on.Can anyone tell me of another company that can say this and holds so much promise. Good luck to all Inthno
