UK-based Abcam revealed more details behind its $5.7 billion acquisition by Danaher, including the dozens of potential buyers the company engaged with as well as internal and external turmoil with Abcam’s founder and former CEO Jonathan Milner over the performance of the company, the makeup of the board and the deal with Danaher.

Thanks for the informative posts Note, but i can't be the only one fed up with reading about every biotech not Oncy getting snatched up, right? I don't think many can preach patience to Oncy investors without being laughed outta the room. The SP languishes...the management underwhelms.

Foxy....I think the point Notable was trying to show is that Matt has stated they are in discussions with more than one BP......and none of us knows how complicated those discussions are or how long it might take to make a deal.....I know if I was selling a boat and instead of one buyer, there were 8 or more standing there making offers on it, I’d wanna take a little more time before settling on ...more

After all.... that is his duty to shareholders....to take a little time to get the right offer, not just jump at the first one or two that get thrown out there......

We all know what his duty is, thanks, and he has yet to do anything to create shareholder value. Coffey has a lot to do to instill any shareholder faith, and that starts and ends with a lucrative partnership or buyout. We'll see what ESMO brings, but I'm not expecting the SP to rocket on anything less than the aforementioned. My opinion.

Well, Fox, a lucrative partnership or buyout is only going to happen when Matt, the board of directors and the ceos and legal teams from 6 or 7 or maybe 10 or more multi billion dollar pharmas figure it all out and I think that’s going to take a little more time than you might like...
