AntOro Acquires a Property in Casa Berardi, Quebec
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - May 19, 2006) - AntOro Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ORE) has acquired the Golden Knight property, composed of thirty-seven (37) staked mining claims covering an area of approximately 579 hectares and located in the Casa Berardi township in Quebec. The property has been acquired from MJL Explorations Inc. in exchange of the issuance of 1,000,000 treasury shares and the payment of the sum of $5,000.
Located immediately to the south of Aurizon Mines' Casa Berardi gold mine, the property is in the middle of this area of Quebec which has known renewed exploration activities in reaction to the increase in the price of gold over the last year.
Well known for its gold potential, the Casa Berardi belt has been the focus of extensive exploration efforts in the past year by companies such as Aurizon Mines, Alliance Resources and Cambior.
The Casa Berardi township is located 200 km north of the Town of La Sarre et approximativement 100 km west of Matagami, in the James Bay region of Quebec. An all-weather road lies close to the property. The Company is currently completing a compilation of exploration work done on and around the property and will soon announce its exploration program for this property.
